The Canadian Solar Solution's Team
Canadian Solar Solution's management team has operated companies in five different countries, making Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. well suited for the global solar business. Our team has led several start-ups, and offers extensive experience in managing large, complex projects that require precision planning and execution.
 Milfred Hammerbacher – CEO & President With over 20 years of photovoltaic experience, Milfred has managed companies in four countries. Most recently, he spent 12 months in an executive consulting role in China on behalf of our parent company, Canadian Solar Inc. Before that, he was President of SSP Inc. and Assistant General Manager of Photowatt International. Milfred has a diverse business and technical background. |
 Carlos Fernandez – Chief Operating Officer Carlos has an extensive background in senior management, finance, administration, sales and marketing. Previously, he held the position of VP Operations of Americas for City Solar AG and its parent companies. Before that, he held positions as VP Business Development, Marketing and Sales as well as CFO for SSP Inc. Carlos has worked in Mexico, England and Canada in different industry segments. He holds an MBA in international finance and marketing. |
 Ken Rowbotham – Director of Finance An accomplished senior executive with 15 years experience in finance, accounting and administration, Ken has held senior management and executive positions and has in depth experience in financial reporting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, government grant and incentive programs, legal, corporate finance and cash management. Ken is a member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants and has an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario Richard Ivey School of Business. He currently has ownership in a internet software company which he co-founded and is a Vice President of a local charity in Guelph, Ontario. |
 Colin Parkin – VP Projects and Engineering With 15 years of leadership experience in senior management, project management and project engineering, Colin has managed capital-intensive projects for Automation Tooling Systems (ATS) and SSP Inc. Before that, he founded and sold his own manufacturing business, Integrated Manufacturing Technologies (IMT). |
 Don Thorne – Vice President of Strategic Alliances Over 35 years experience in the Ontario power industry. Personal history includes research, design, operations and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution systems, industry restructuring, conservation and demand management, and extensive regulatory experience. Mr. Thorne was also President and CEO of Milton Hydro for 23 years. |
 Humberto Gutierrez – Commerical Director Humberto has extensive experience in management, administration, sales and marketing, as well as computer systems development. He currently owns a distribution business in Mexico. Humberto has also managed various other distribution businesses in the agrochemical and telecommunications fields. He has a diverse background in many administrative management roles including sales, purchasing, logistics and IT. |
 Tanya Bragg – Marketing Manager Tanya leads Canadian Solar Solution's Canadian marketing team; she is responsible for building and implementing the company’s marketing strategy. Prior to joining Canadian Solar Solutions, Tanya was the marketing manager at SkyPower, a leading developer of renewable energy projects, including solar and wind power. Before starting her renewable energy career, Tanya served as the communications and government relations manager at the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington. Tanya holds a Public Relations Diploma from Humber College. |
